Inadmissibility

Applicants who seek to enter to Canada must prove that they are “not admissible.” Note the language of immigration law: you are inadmissible until you prove that you are not!
All the applicants must prove that they meet the eligibility criteria for the program or class under which they applied.

Why some people are Inadmissible (Types of Inadmissibility)

The top three types are the most serious and require a low standard of proof (reasonable ground to believe only). The crime may have occurred in or outside Canada.
A permanent resident or foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts related to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this act.

Temporary Resident Permits

A foreign national, who in the opinion of an officer is inadmissible or does not meet the requirements of this act can become a temporary resident if the officer is of the opinion that this is justified.
